Francesco Vezzoli: Needlework was published on the occasion of the artist's exhibition at Galerie fur Zeitgenossische Kunst, Leipzig, 2003.
Next to Vezzoli's film and video works, Needlework illustrates and describes a second output in which the artist deals with the stars and divas of film, advertising, fashion, and TV. Through stylized, embroidered portraits, Vezzoli explores both the glamour that surrounds celebrities and the lonely, fleeting life of fame.
